The Libertarian Party of Wisconsin

"...I chose to join the Libertarian Party because at this time in our nation’s history, it’s fundamentally essential to join a party, work with a party, that’s 100 percent committed to protecting liberty"
---Former US Congressman, Bob Barr

Welcome to the LPCV Web site!
The Libertarian Party of the Chippewa Valley was established in 1993 and is an affiliate of the Libertarian Party of Wisconsin.  We serve residents of the Third and Seventh Congressional Districts in West Central Wisconsin by providing the only organized pro-liberty movement in the area.  For 2007 we will meet quarterly (January, April, July & October) at 6:30pm on the third Thursday of the month at the Ojibwa Golf and Bowl, Hwy. 124 N  in Chippewa Falls.  We gather in their upstairs meeting room. Please join us.

LPCV NEWS:

The St. Croix Valley Libertarian Party has new leadership.
Brad Richard of Hudson has taken on the task of chairing the SCVLP.  You can contact him at
bradrichard3 AT yahoo.com  They have created a discussion group that can be accessed at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SCVLP  Since the SCVLP shares common borders with the LPCV (parts of the 3rd & 7th Congressional Districts) and actually shares much history with the LPCV we are pleased to see renewed activity in that area.  We wish Brad and the group much success in the future.

Third Annual Membership Meeting...
On Thursday, April 19 we will held our Third Annual Membership Meeting at the Ojibwa Golf and Bowl.  We will discussed platform issues and up coming fall elections and had an election of officers.  Randy Palmer was elected Chairman and Mike Bresina the Membership Committee Chairman.

Wisconsin Convention
The Libertarian Party of Wisconsin's 2007 Convention was held on April 21st in Tomah at Ed Thompson's TeePee Super Club.   This year we elected new officers.  More information is available about the speakers and other activities on the LPWI site. Randy Palmer will continue to serve as the Third District representative to the state Executive Committee (EXCOM) during this term. Ken Van Doren, District 4 Alderman from Mauston accepted the position of 3rd District Alternate.  Please contact Randy Palmer at RPin3D AT yahoo.com if you have questions or comments.
